Trophies awarded to Win, RU and semi finalists at each race. However, some events are not promoted by Sacramento Raceway therefore trophies distributed can vary at each event.

Sacramento Raceway Jr Dragster Policy and Procedure

Some procedures differ from NHRA's procedures and may not apply to the NHRA Junior Divisional events at Sacramento Raceway. Rules, not specifically mentioned, are governed by the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League Rulebook.

GENERAL EVENT PROCEDURES

ALL starter and Race Director Decisions are final. Any protest or misunderstanding must be lodged with starter before the race is initiated. A race is official once a racer has begun the staging sequence.

Reruns are at the discretion and final decision of the race director.
It is the responsibility of all participants to read and understand the NHRA rulebook.
In the event of unsportsmanlike conduct by parent or driver as viewed by a track official, the team will be disqualified from the current race and may be suspended from the next eligible race.
Junior Dragsters must be towed to the staging lanes and must be towed from the end of the track back to their pits. Dragsters may not be driven under power except on the drag strip.

Racers must be present in the staging lanes when called and must be ready to fire and race upon signal from a track official.

At Sacramento Raceway, left lane exits first, right lane stays behind left lane, then exits. In the event the car cannot make the first exit, that car should line up in the right lane and use the second exit at the end of the track.

NHRA ET RESTRICTIONS (NHRA rulebook page 34)

8,9 Years
ET restricted to 12.90 seconds or slower based on either an ET Dial-Your-Own or heads up basis, breakout rules apply.
Any racer running quicker than 12.70 ET at any time during a race will receive one warning. A second violation will result in disqualification for the remainder of that race.
Any racer running quicker than 12.50 ET at any time during a race will be immediately disqualified from that race.

10,11,12 Years
ET restricted to 8.90 seconds or slower based on either an ET Dial-Your-Own or heads up basis, breakout rules apply.
Any racer running quicker than 8.70 ET at any time during a race will receive one warning. A second violation will result in disqualification for the remainder of that race.
Any racer running quicker than 8.50 ET at any time during a race will be immediately disqualified from that race.

13,14,15,16,17,18 Years
ET restricted to 7.90 seconds or slower based on either an ET Dial-Your-Own or heads up basis, breakout rules apply.
Any racer running quicker than 7.50 ET or 85.00 MPH at any time during eliminations will be immediately disqualified from that race.

Any racer running quicker than 7.50 ET or 89.99 MPH at any time will be immediately disqualified for the remainder of that race.

LADDERS/LANE CHOICE/BYE RUNS
Ladder positions are based on reaction times posted in designated qualifying sessions. Racers unable to compete in qualification rounds will be placed at the bottom of the ladder.
Lane choice is determined by lowest reaction time in the previous round.
If a category is laddered, bye runs are pre-determined by position.
If the category is random paired, than a bye run will be picked at random unless a prior determination for byes has been stated (example: best reaction time in previous round).

DIAL-INS

Each competitor must post his or her desired dial-in on his or her car in a manner clearly visible to the tower and available to his or her opponent. Dial boards must be attached to the car.

It is the driver's responsibility to confirm their dial-in on the dial-in boards and the scoreboards prior to PRE-STAGING. Reruns will not be given in the event of an incorrect dial-in.
If competition is delayed for an inordinate amount of time, the race director may allow a dial-in change. It is the drivers' responsibility to confirm the policy after a delay with race director only.

BURNOUTS

Tire covers must be removed before leaving the staging lanes. The burnout process should be done in a timely fashion as to not "burn down" an opponent.
Drivers should complete the burnout process and be prepared to stage once the prior pair of cars exits the track.
Racers may not cross the starting line under power on a burnout. Repeated violations may result in disqualification at discretion of the race director

RERUNS

Reruns will be granted due to timing system malfunctions or other unforeseen circumstances at the discretion and final decision of the race director.

AUTO-START

The Auto-Start System will be used during time trials and eliminations. It is activated when both vehicles pre-stage.
Once both cars are pre-staged and the first car stages, the second car has 10 seconds to stage before the system times out and a red light will show.
The standard full-tree setting for Chrondek C44 is 1.7 seconds from fully staged to tree count.

STAGING

Cars must be started upon official's signal or no later than the time when the previous pair has begun to stage.
If an 8-9 year old competitor wants a pullback during time trials, the driver must immediately put both hands in the air to signal the starter. The starter has the discretion to pull back the car only if he feels it would not hinder the opposing car's run. Drivers are permitted only one pull back per day (not per race).
Pullbacks are not allowed for any class during eliminations.
Deep staging is permitted. The starter will not override the auto-start system for deep staging.
Once pre-staged, no one will be allowed to touch the vehicle. Times will be voided during qualifying and a disqualification will result during eliminations.

POINTS ACCUMULATION

: All drivers who choose to accumulate points during Sacramento Raceway's season must purchase an annual membership for $20. Point accumulation will begin on the first day your membership is paid. Driver's who join the team will receive a team member shirt while supplies last. You must be a team Sacramento member to participate in the Western Conference finals and ET Jr. Finals.
Points are awarded to drivers per the NHRA points table located in the NHRA rulebook.:
Drivers must have a completed tech card for each day of elimination in order to obtain points.
Cars that pass inspection and present a completed tech card will receive 10 points regardless of runs or ladder. This only applies to racers who do not run in competition.
Drivers who break after first round and prior to their round of racing will receive losing points earned for their missed round.
Competitors may move up to the next age category within the season but may not take their points earned with them if they change category.

A racer's age as of Jan 1st of the current year or their birthday of the current year determines their category.

SERIES INFORMATION

Two series for 2013, seven races each.
It is not mandatory to compete at both series. Drivers can join the team at any time.
Top 5 points earners, at each series, will receive a plaque.
At the end of the season points will be added together from each series to determine the Track Champions in each age group. Top 5 drivers overall, from each age group will receive an SRP Eagle.
