NITRO NITE OF FIRE brings dedicated Hot Rod Heritage racers to Sacramento for the 6th Points race in the Series.
Temps were not as hot as the weather predictors claimed it would be but we’re now definitely ready for summer.
Shelly Segal, from Las Vegas Nevada takes out hometown Jeff Atamian, not once but twice, entertaining fans and taking the heat factor up a few degrees.
Jason Richey’s first win in his new “The Patriot” takes out young Wes Morris in the Nitro Final.
Mike Troxel’s “No More Alimony” Super charged Funny Car took home a Wally and some CIFCA points in the 2017 CIFCA Funny Car Series.
Kin Bates Sr., a familiar face in the final round, gathers more A/Fuel Hot Rod Heritage points taking out current points leader Drew Austin.
Junior Fuel Champion Don Enriquez
Bobby Cottrell from Whittier, CA had no problem mowing down his competition during the weekend in 7.0 Pro.
Current points leader Dustin Lee’s reaction time won him the NE1 Wally over Sabrina Capps perfect 7.600, losing to Dustin’s .034 RT.
Dave Lawson breaks out just a little less than his opponent Terry Lindblad in the final round of Nostalgia Eliminator 2.
Lindsey Lister takes out Mike Gillespie in the final round of Nostalgia Eliminator 3 with an impressive .008 reaction time.
Red seems to be the winner’s circle favorite color. Brendon Frye, from Bakersfield CA, close win over Roy Castagnetto in A/Gas
Rich Harrison, winner in B/Gas over Cliff Boyles’ Red light start.
Brian Smith winning C/Gas in his 1969 Cougar proves again that reaction time wins the race. Finishing with a slower ET but took the win with his .007 RT over Chris Rea’s .144 RT.
Dana Griffin Takes home the D/Gas Wally by running a 10.60 ET on a 10.60 Index.
Ken Parks from Placerville, CA Wins E/Gas with his 1965 C-10 Truck competing in both E/Gas and Hot Rod increased his chances at a Wally.
John Hildebrand’s Age and Experience takes out young A.J. Thomas in the Final of Hot Rod after 5 rounds.
Nor Cal Drag Bike Lady Champion whooped up on all the guys at the Nitro Nite of Fire.
Nitro Nite of Fire is part of NHRA’s Hot Rod Heritage Series. Racers are competing for $30,000 cash, NHRA Coveted Wallys and Heritage Series Points.

NOT PERMITTED: Glass bottles or containers and charcoal briquettes are not allowed on site.
GENERAL SUGGESTIONS: Bring Lawn Chairs, Blankets, umbrellas, pop ups, jackets, food, drink, gas BBQ (no briquettes allowed due to property fire hazards).

RACER-CREW-PIT “Pit Area” ENTRY INFORMATION FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
GATES OPEN: 8:00 am each day
CREW ADMISSION: Friday: $50 per crew member this includes Thurs.-Sat. Children ages 6-11: $5. Test and Tune is open to all vehicles from 12pm-4pm. Entry fee is $50. You must have a weekend wristband to run test and tune. Saturday: Crew: $25
PRE ENTRY: Only required for Nitro Cars. Email Jennifer Trimp for details. All racers $125 entry at the gate.
PARKING: Racer packages come with one free pit/rv parking admission. RV parking is $40 per RV or trailer. Additional Pit Parking admission for passenger cars: $20. Front lot parking: Free. You assume all risks of theft and damage while parking at Sacramento Raceway.
PIT TICKET PRICES: $25 per person, Kids age 6-11: $5, Children under the age of 6 admitted free with adult. Sat/Sun, discounted tickets available online.
PIT SPECTATOR PARKING: Front lot parking is free. Pit Area parking is limited for a $20 charge per passenger vehicle. You assume all risks of theft and damage while parking at Sacramento Raceway.
PIT SPECTATOR SEATING: Grandstand seating is provided. Bring Seat Cushions and umbrella.
INSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE: Sacramento Raceway contracts with a restaurant certified vendor to sell food, drinks and beer.
OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE: Allowed. Including Gas BBQ’s. Briquette BBQ’s glass containers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No exceptions.
OVER NITE CAMPING: Allowed at no additional charge. All racers and their crew members must purchase a multi-day pass and parking pass in order to stay in the pits over nite. All lights, generators and noise to cease one hour after last run. Hook ups, water or electrical are not provided.
RACING FUEL: Not sold at track.
NOT PERMITTED: Alcoholic beverages, Weapons, Drugs, glass bottles.
CHILDREN: children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the restricted areas, with the exception of remaining in the enclosed cab of the tow vehicle, with an adult, while in the restricted areas.
STARTING LINE: No more than 4 crew members are allowed on the starting line at any one time. Non-essential crew members must remain in the tow vehicle or behind the yellow lines. All crew must exit starting line immediately after their driver’s run.
TOW VEHICLES: All tow vehicles must stop prior to the water box area. Do Not Park in front of spectators.
PETS: It is best to leave your pet at home due to the loud noises drag racing creates.
PHOTOGRAPHS: Insurance only allows 5 photographers in the restricted area therefore, ONLY Hard Card photographers are allowed in the restricted area(beyond the red line, starting line, spectator side of drag strip, push road) If your crew member is found taking photographs in this area they will be asked to leave the facility. You can contact one of our track photographers to obtain photographs of your car. Contact list

Brendan Murry & Karen Oie began by campaigning their successful BB/Fuel Running Wild dragster. 22 years ago. Current car has the latest Rooman Motorsports chassis utilizing all the technology of a modern car yet still preserving the classic appearance. Powering this racecar is an Alan Johnson nitro burning 426 cubic inch Hemi. The billet TFX block creating 3500 ground pounding horsepower!
